Hooray for Kasia

Oye, todos. Soy Rafa, otra vez. Just a quick little Mad Rant this morning. Here are my feelings on the Jania sisters: Camille is a very good player from near my hometown. She is a tennis prodigy, two years older than me, and apparently a very nice and together person. She says she might go pro, but education is her first priority. If only I could have her talent and my screwed-up goals. Kasia is also a prodigy, two years younger than me. She sometimes plays in my division, although I have yet to play against her. Between the two of them they could start off Portland, ME as the new Bradenton, FL for hot new tennis players. This little piece of news concerns Kasia.

Kasia Jania, if you are reading this, felicidades from Rafa. Anyway, the first words spoken to mme this morning were 'Guess who won the MTA Women's Open?' As it turns out, it was little Kasia J. She got her name in the paper and everything. Essentially, I have two things to say about this. 1. Suck it up, don't go to the indoor hard courts, and play on clay this weekend like the rest of us. 2. If you don't get enough competetion in your own division (which I know she doesn't) play up, but not THAT up. It will come to no good, believe me.

However, being in the paper is fun. I've never been in it for tennis, but two summers ago I was getting the same kind of 'only 12 years old, won the Women's Division' crap in kayaking as she gets in tennis. Once, there was even a picture.
